Gurren Lagann

Synopsis

Gurren Lagann is the story of a fourteen year-old boy named Simon. Living in a world where humans have been forced underground, Simon has been assigned the task of digging tunnels to expand his village. When Simon discovers a special drill key, his life takes an adventurous turn as he's recruited into the 'Gurren Brigade.' Now watch Simon and the team drill for the sky in the eagerly anticipated Japanese anime phenomenon Gurren Lagann!

I saw all the episodes on ani-monday and now they dont play it any more and I dont have any of the episodes on DVD but I remember every last minute.

this show did spark a movie but it should have been an episode. Syfy should play it some time. I guess It was an episode but it was to long and they couldn't fit it in.

I got interested in this on the SYFY channel, compared to the boring stuff they showed on the "CN" network. I really liked this series and want to buy an english dubb of it. Where can i purchase it at? I don't have an iphone or any fancy stuff like that btw. I do see some japanese only versions on the internet, but really want to buy this on DVD. Any tips?

i like this show i like it wen i fist saw it on scif and i got realy into it i think that it is a realy great show and what not it's in my top 10 it's like 6 in my top 10 but still a very very great show and the story line is very good.

It seems like the dvd volums do not have the complete anime on it. They cancelled part 4 or something. You can actually see them talking about it on amazon.com about this, and it is quite sad. Even if i do manage to buy half this series on dvd..some of the episodes will be missing...how sad..

This has to be the worst ad setup imaginable next to picture-in-picture.  They just happen sporadically, completely interrupting a scene, even dialogue!  The second ad I saw cut in mid-sentence!  Then if you try to go backwards a bit (y'know, to hear the whole, unbroken line), the ad kicks back in seconds afterwards.  Final nail in the coffin (aside from the complete dissonance), an ad came in during full-screen and the video kept playing!  So I have this blind dialogue (good thing they were just crawling in the tunnels, eh?) while some folks are dancing around chips! Manga, fix this mess up.  have ads appear at fixed points during the video, not in some interval that, apparently, includes paused time.  Sheesh!

jerry kids need to get the hell out of my way. im tryin to enjoy this show and ive got random ads playin, the same damn ad every damn time. im gettin sick of it i wanna hulk smash something. some one over at manga.com has made a MAJOR screw up. i thought it was only happening to me on my computer so i wasnt going to say anything, but since i see it happens to every one they need to get that add placement right. theyve got a little breaker that wont let the show play for twenty seconds, but it never comes on que with the actual ad, as if they want the show to be garbled and botched Swiff

All of the episodes are streamed on youtube now, and there are a couple ads, but they are where they should be! Anyway, I never cared about the english dub anyway, but I'm just sayin, watch it on youtube... "On our backs, in our hearts."

I love this anime which tells about the adventures of a fourteen year old boy Gurren Lagann which is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima!! It is a 27 episodes and each one is better the rest! This is really cool to watch and we can be assured of a great time with both kids and grownups enjoying it just the same!! If possible will surely buy all the episodes for my collection!! amazon kindle
