my first anime was inuyasha.  unfortunately it took me more than one episode just to get into it. The first episode i saw of it was completely boring  the darkness is pulling me inNeAr2.0

my first anime was dragonball z. then there was case close, inuyasha, big o, full metal alcumist and it goes on from there............

My first anime will and always be sailor moon. I guess when I was either 4 or 5 years old, I began to love sailor moon.

Dragon Ball Z was the first anime for me.

 My first Anime was Yu-Gi-Oh. Then I started watching Full Metal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop and so on. Those who wander are not always lost.

Well I apparently  I was watching anime and didn't know it when I was a kid... I used to watch Speed Racer all the time on tv... LOL!!!  I also watched DBZ, Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, & Transformers on tv as well...  I thought that they were just "cartoons" - goes to show you what I knew back then hahaha. When I first watched InuYasha on Adult Swim, I knew that it was anime & thought that it was the first one I had ever watched.  Then I watched FMA and another one that I can't remember the name of.    Sunday is my B-day so I'm going to see if I can find the Bleach Movie: Memories of Nobody on DVD and watch it.... My first anime would have to be Dragon Ball, followed by Sailor Moon, then Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon,some .Hack on Adult Swim but not much (my satellite died *cries*),Metropolis, alot of Miasaki's stuff (Spirited Away, The Cat Returns, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, etc), and then Hellsing and onward, lol  In life theres no such thing as black and white its all grey.

Pokemon then once I got cable I started watching and I found Adult Swim So then on to Bleach,Death Note , Blood +, and then One of my fav. was Eureka 7"I will be the GOD of this New World"

My first anime ever was Dragon Ball Z! Then I moved on to Pokemon, then Tenchi Muyo, Digimon, and what ever was on the good Toonami. Then I sort of grew out of the childish ones (Though I still like DBZ and I love Tenchi Muyo) I got into Manga and my first manga was Bleach... and that is when I really got into Anime and Manga.

Tenchi Muyo in Love on sci fi channel's ol saturday anime. Record of Lodoss war(whichever part they played) has still left me wanting to see the rest of them to this day(which I've yet to do, don't even know if they dubbed more of them) Officially though, I'm going with Tenchi as my first. Bleach is my current fav

When I was like 5 and 6 I used to watch Sailor Moon, DBZ & Pokemon, bck than I just thought there were cartoons. The first anime I watched when I became interested in anime was Street fighter2. "If you can fool your friends,you can fool your enemies".

DBZ was my first anime. i was in 6th grade and i come home and turn on the tv and this cartoon was on. i first thought that this is wierd but i kept on watching and realized that this is the best cartoon on the planet. The super fast fighting, that dragon, the aliens. still a pretty die hard fan. p.s. The DBZ movies are in my top ten favorite movies of all time.

i think the first anime that i watched was Naruto and pokemon.,

Not sure. But I can think some early ones though....Sailor Moon and Akira? The latter of which I discovered through Blockbusters Video's now not as good as it once was Anime Section (well, actually, technically, if we're getting REAL technical, it was a Todd McFarlane Spawn HBO animated VHS tape I owned at the time. He referenced Akira in one of his Producer Commentaries, in which McFarlane (American comic book creator and a big influence at the time) refered to the Akira manga as "the greatest comic book ever in terms of execution". That pirked my interest so I went to Blockbuster one day and saw a VHS copy of it there, which I rented and fell in love with, back in my "underground days". Next thing I know I'm in a bidding battle on Ebay to buy a used or new (I forget which) copy of the Akira VHS), and the former, Sailor Moon, which temporarily aired on USA Network, which doesn't air anime like Sailor Moon anymore. Actually, if I'm not mistaken, blockbuster got rid of their foreign section entirely in many stores by now..I don't know. I don't really rent stuff there anymore. Not now that I have Netflix...)I've been liking anime for such a long time now (over 15 years), and the early days are such a blur. I remember liking Sailor Moon when it was on the USA network (not afraid to admit it.) (yes, it's aired on both USA and Toonami. It was actually on USA first, on weekdays before school, in the 90s, not sure if I knew it was an anime at the time though, heh), before Toonami aired it for the female demo and DBZ for the male demo (I saw right through that and watched BOTH nondiscriminately because they were both great anime), but at the same time I remember bidding for an early VHS copy of Akira in the mid 90s on eBay, and also buying the Ghost in the Shell, Macross Plus, and Ninja Scroll VHS tapes for really cheap prices in the now famous Anime Section at my local Blockbuster Video rental store. Since then I know just about all of what are considered the "mainstream titles". Everything from Gunsmith Cats to Yu Yu Hakusho. And tons more. I watch more anime than I buy, but that's really only because I'm often broke. It would have been so cool if Manga had a message board when they first started. It's ironic that the studio (Manga Entertainment) forum I'm posting at now is the distributor of the majority of anime I watched before either Adult Swim OR Toonami were ever on teh air. Booyah! And people think Manga Entertainment came AFTER Funimation and Toonami. Wrong!(In terms of buying as much anime as you watch. Lack of funding will never stop a fan from being a fan though.)
