I'll give you a plot synopsis. The season centers around the newly inducted Chief of Ground Staff Hatsumi Shinobi (my character who my drawings are of). She is the commanding officer of Japan's army and she has a shaken relationship with many of the army's officers due to the fact that she is a woman. Now, there is this computer program who controls the army's computer network who is actually plotting to destroy mankind. However, his real interest is to merge with Hatsumi's cyberbrain and her ghost, much like the Puppet Master from the Ghost in the Shell movie. This computer program's name is Kaneren and he is absolutely infatuated with Hatsumi, despite the fact that he is the one who is plotting to kill her. He is manipulating this terrorist named Masahiro Takeda, who was Hatsumi's subordinate when she was a Colonel. Takeda doesn't realize that he is being manipulated and he believes that he is trying to assassinate her out of his own idealogical beliefs. Kaneren is manipulating his creator, Lieutenant General Yoshimura, into sabotaging Hatsumi's job. Kaneren is pretty much controlling Yoshimura's body. Yoshimura is controlling Hatsumi's brother, Takeshi Shinobi, who was believed to have been killed along with their parents 3 years prior. Now, Takeda eventually joins up with Kusanagi and Section 9 in order to discover the truth behind Kaneren and what he is up to. Hatsumi is eventually framed and arrested under the suspicion of treason and terrorism, all according to Kaneren's plan. Eventually, Takeshi kills Takeda and Hatsumi is forced to kill her own brother in order to save mankind. Yoshimura eventually comes to his senses and shuts down Kaneren for good, saving the lives of Kusanagi and Hatsumi.
