Hey, today i passed my driver's permit test. Im glas too finally not be nailed to my house haha but the test isnt all that hard, jsut read the book a bit a day for a few weeks and ta da =) What i wanna know is some of the funny stories i know some of the older people here have lol. ive heard a few from relatives, friends, etc. Id love to hear em if you got em =)

i took mine out of town because apparently u have to be on a list and it was booked for a couple months and my permit was about to expire. so we found a dmv that'd let me do it and i told the guy i wasn't from around there and he said thats okay if we get lost we can go get lunch at dennys.

my parents didn't help one bit. they said if i wanted to drive i had to do everything myself. i am telling you that was a lot of money to come up with.

2 Funny Stories..... But True....
When I was doing my "behind the wheel" training back in 1984.... *sighs*.... My driving instructor told me to turn left... said to her turn left, right?, and she said "right" so I turned right. Now luckily it was just a side street and there wasn't any traffic, or it could have ended up a big problem... After it was all over we both laughed because she totally understood why I made that mistake.
One More....
When I finally was ready to take my behind the wheel driving test for my license there happened to be a HUGE snow storm the night before...well the next day I drove all the way out to the driving range where they did the behind the wheel driving tes ( about 5 miles ) and I know I made a bunch of mistakes that should've made me fail the test... but the test person passed me and I think it was just because I managed to drive all the way out there the day after that HUGE snow storm. ( I was living in Minnesota back then ).

What I've been up to? Do you really want to know?.....
Eeto.... Working at my retail job (Kmart), studying for my Japanese class, cleaning my house, reading my manga, watching anime.... that about does it I think.... *smiles*
We're having our first Japanese Midterm Exam on Monday (the 6th) so I'm really studying a lot now. The class is a lot of fun & Kameda-sensei is from Osaka Japan.

I had to take the test 8
I had to take the test 8 times. Not because I sucked or anything, but they failed my vehicle 7 times. I borrowed everyones car I could, and they always found a fault with it.

wow, thats sounds liek it would of sucked BAD lol. i cant imagine 7 times. Im pretty sure my moms car will pass (im not getting one till i actually get the licence) but from what i hear, and your story, they are really picky lol.
