Well the current version of the game that I'm playing is like the second seasonof the series and it is about a real persons playing an online game like Runescape and warcraft for example and the entire series is based off of that online character...His name is Haseo and his PC has had special characteristics hacked into it by CC Corp and that has given hima power that only he can access... (Also well he has the characteristics needed as well, and not to mention the game is based on VR or virtual reality for those who may not know the abbreviation) The game which is called the world has a bug/virus of unknown origin which seems to affect the playersin real life through their M2D virtual reality consoles and givesthem doll syndrome and if Pked(player killed) by those persons infected with the syndrome which in the online world is known as AIDA the real life player becomes comatose...the star Haseo is a PKker (Player killer killer )he kills the player killers whoprey on the innocent players until one of his real life friends become comatose and then he begins to search for the truthdiscovering his hidden power and finding a way to defeat Aida... this takes him on a journey that is very thrilling and exciting because when he started the game and was at level 1 he was Pked and Ovan revived him and told him to get stronger and when he became the PKker known as the Terror of Death he was at level 133 and in his quest to find out more about the online player known as Tri-edge that killed his friend Shino and put her into coma in the real world he is found by Tri-edge and is reformatted back to level one where his journey begins and his quest for knowledge and powercomes into play.... this  is a terrible explanation  but it can't be helped because i really haven't seen the show and what I'm relating is based upon the game and its many scattered demos and bonus features...  for more info go to www.gamespy.com and look up .hack// G.U and you will see some of the intros for the game... The path to conquest leaves nothing else to be desired!!!!
