i've gotten into so many animes and music because of them, and the best part is(for the companies who own the anime) it's doesn't cost a dime.

but i do wonder why anime companies frown upon AMV's, bandai is a big one they've taken off most of the gundam amvs as well as probably a few others.

sure an amv might have spoilers in them but so does an ad for the anime. so other then the cost to the company what's the differences?

i don't know if manga feels the same as bandai america.

there are other companies that do feel the same way as bandai though.

and if it's a rights thing, think about it.. AMV = free ad. so why should a fan "have" to ask to put an AMV online. it's a free ad for the anime, free ad for the company. hundreds of dollars saved because a fan wanted to spend their time making an AMV to show the world a sample of this cool anime with this cool song.

logic of ridding the world of unauthorized AMVs does not make sence.
