Looking for the Name of an Anime/Manga Movie Please Help

All i can remember of the movie is as Follows
Slaves in a mine a Boy Finds a Golden Hil;t with no Blade on it
The boys Gets the Hilt to Cut slice dice monsters and creatures You do not get to see the Blade
Someone WANTS the Hilt for some reason
Boy Looses the Hilt only to finally realize he never needed the Hilt to Form this blade
Old style anime crude creatures being sliced blood flying somethingh about robots and some old guy
But the kid forms the Blade thru the Hilt of a sword it was made around the same time as City of Wind
