Has anyone learned to speak or read Japanese? ^__^ I always wanted to but, it's so hard to learn. Even trying to sing some of my favorite anime songs is harder. :( Has anyone done that before?
I want to learn Japaneese too. I've considered getting the Rosettta Stone program but it's expensive. I have picked up a few words of Japaneese from watching so many subtitled animes. yay :)"Those who live in darkness wander aimlessly."
ur right...SAYONARA-goodbye...am i right?
That's right quexer... sayonara means goodbye... Dewa Mata,Niji-Hana
I often listen to Miyavi and An Cafe, sometime sing along too :XD I know few words, but I have new... ish books on the speach and writing. But I don't mind, I get by with a quick look through them once in a while. The night is undyingThe stars ablazeWhat will become of youWhen they are all but dust
i wanna japaneze so badlybut i dont kno how
Ohayou! I am going to be taking a Japanese class at Mira Costa College in Oceanside CA that starts on august 25th. My daughter is also going to be taking it...we're looking forward to learning the language. My brother-in-law was stationed in Japan when he was in the Navy and he has taught me a few words. I also have found several on-line translators that I have used and a website that has a lot of the basic words & phrases that are used. I must agree that I do have a hard time singing along with some of my favorite anime songs, but it is fun to try and I'm now starting to recognize a lot of the words. What really helps is when the shows have the words ib both romanji and english subs like karoke *grinning* at least then I can see what the letters arewhich makes it a little easier to "sing along". Dewa Mata,Niji-Hana (dewa mata = see you later) (ohayou - good morning)
hey i've been learning how to speak japanese i know a good place to go just go to www.freejapaneselessons.com it really works it's great you learn it's grammer and everything but if you want to learn all the words you will have to get a japanese to english dictionary but this site helps with grammer and sentences i've learned alot from it. =D
i didn't know there was anything like that online, thanks a lot for the information.
cool i at least want to learn how to write with romanji
hopefully if things go according to plan, im going to Japan this summer and learning the language " Life becomes useless and insipid when we have no longer either friends or enemies."
I want to learn Japanese"I will be the GOD of this New World"
then check the website below and start to learn it doesnt cover everything but it can only help " Life becomes useless and insipid when we have no longer either friends or enemies."
I'm able to sing along with songs but thats it.
I would have to say that speaking is WAY easier than reading japanese! Im no pro but I can speak and understand it farly well. Theres different ways on learning it, you just need to find a method that suits you! Take me for example,I am a full blooded mexican teen. And i only have 2 yrs experience with learning japanese and i didnt practice. So yeah it depends!!!!!
thats pretty much all i can do, that and a few historical terms.
IM WITH U WOULD REALLY WANT TO BUT IT SEEM HARDER THEN IT SOUNDS LOL..................

(I never knew how to spell Rosseta... NEVER!)
I've been studying Japanese in college for 3 years and lived in Japan for 1 year. During the first semester, there were around 90 students, and during the sixth semester only 4 students were still left. I guess most of the students felt that learning Japanese is not worth the effort, but I don’t agree. During my studies I had many great experiences and I had some of the best time of my life in Japan.
i already memorize some songs n japaneseand im trying to write hiragana too i also know a few jap words and phrases "blood isnt enough.."
i know some word but there not that nice
i will learn it in 9th grade.
I know a few words and most are insults.
im 100% mexican bt i love everythin bout i kan kinda speak it bt kant read it
I'm still learning, but I can read hiragana, and some katakana. I know the grammer and some vocabulary. You can start really easily by learning kana and moving up from there.

I study the books first, Then i used the net to help me sound it out. ( Im african American)
I used to visit a site called worldia.net. People meet there to exchange language and culture. That was my trump card in language learning for a long time.
'' 10 minutes in day japan '' It really cool and fun.http://www.bbks.com/languages/images/japanese_BOOK.jpg

The language itself is not hard to learn if anything chinese is a hard lang. I only know a little japanese but when i speak it, it sound fluent.
My reommendation is try leaning it and never give up. like me..unfortunetly its tuffer to try to read it than it is to speak it.
