Hi everyone, i have a really odd ability to tell when the same person voices different characts on Anime shows. For examble the same person voiced Ichigo from Bleach, Vash from Trigun, and Renton fromE7. Another person did Ed from FMA, and Dark from DN Angel, and Sigino fom Tactics. Does anyone else have Examples?

in gundam 00 the pink
in gundam 00 the pink haired girl who is on ptolemy is voiced by the person who did lacus clyne (about 95% sure).

Johnny Bosch is Ichigo....he is also Kiba from Wolf's Rain...and Rassiu in Gurren Lagann.
and Vic is already mentioned he also plays as Tamaki from Ouran Host Club and Fai from Tsubasa and he is also in Gurren Lagann
The guy who voices Ayame Soma from Fruits Basket is also the same as Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho(that was a shocker)
Tsume from Wolf's Rain is also Cougar from S-cry-ed and he plays in almost about everything...he's in Witch Hunter Robin, Final Fantasy: Advent Children, Rave Master, Ghost in the Shell, Hellsing...and so on
The girl who plays Toru Honda (Fruits Basket) and(Yu Yu Hakusho), is also Keiko Yukimura and she's in Kiddy Grade and Dragon Ball and Gurren Lagann
The boy who plays Al (Full Metal Alchemist) is also Hiro (Fruits Basket)
The voice actor for Yusuke Urameshi is the same as Hatsuharu Soma....
The guy who plays Kakashi is also Tachibana from S-cry-ed and he plays in Wolf's Rain and Samurai Champloo
The one who plays Kazuma from S-cry-ed is also Darcia from Wolf's Rain and Mugen from Samurai Champloo, he is also in Gurren Lagann.
The voice actor for Suzaku in Code Geass is also Smon in Gurren Lagann
and the narrarator for Yu Yu Hakusho is Hatori Soma in Fruits Basket.
Shigure Soma is Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho as well as a part in Kiddy Grade and Eyes Rutherford from Spiral and Sendo of Ouran Host Club.
For the moment....that is all that really comes to mind. When I think of more, I'll let you know

vic mignogna whi voices a ton of characters already mention on here voices Ikkaku from bleach, i was so slow on the uptake on that one, now it seems obvious.

vic minogna plays dark from dnangel and ed from fma and johnny bosch plays ichigo and all those other guys i know this because of them went to an anime con in st.louis unfortunately i didnt go when vic was there but i did when johnny was ther and he signed the deathnote my sister made(her poetry notebook).he also signed our bleach poster and t-shirt he might of signed my sisters melachony of haruhi shirt but im not sure(johnny played the esper kosomy)if i spelled that wrong srry oh and im not trying to brag i just wanted you to know if you didnt already you know about the voiceacting not the other stuff gode geass is agood series but you can tell that johnny bosch plays lelouch right away. Unfortunately I cant say I like the japanese version better because ive never watched. In fact code geass kinda reminds me of eureka 7 and neon gelesis combimed. Two of which i dont really like. the only reason i like code geass is because it gets really interesting at the end of the episode. But what ticks me off is the beginning of the next episode because its not interesting. Deathnote is way different. What I cant believe is some people stopped watching deathnote when l died because his death does get avenged and even with him dead he wins because of his succesor near. oops ive said too much. OH and I know nears and Ls real name but you will find out Ls real name if you buy the 13th book. You find out nears real name in the second to last episode (if you play close attention you will figure out his real name) I think ive typed too much oh and brad swaile plays light from death note woos

speaking of voice actors/actresses, i think for anime they should a sign american voice talent for the japanese voice talent. in other words...
say.. the voice actor for chaos in xenosaga,
now the japanese voice actor played as kira in gundam seed and seed destiny (as i keep saying) and masaru in digimon savers. well the US voice actor who played chaos (which unfortunately changed between three actors) should be the same person who played kira in gundam seed and seed destiny and masaru in digimon savers (US known as Digimon data squad). infact the person who played chaos in the US verson of xenosaga episode 2 and 3 was good, he had the right voice. so he should have been kira in the US gundam seed and seed destiny (he wasn't).
but that's my thoughts. there are a few problems with it though.
1.if the US voice actor/actress a signed to a japanese voice actor/actress is terrible, then we'd have t live with that person messing up the characters voices everytime.
2. japan is smaller then america so their voice studios aren't as far apart. here, we the dubbing comes of almost all corners of the land mass. i know theres a studio in california(two really), texas(adv), and canada. there are more comapnies so there are probably more places, but if the japanese voice actor/actress does work that another for an anime that another company gets then it would be hard for the US voice actor to do the voice. example:
if a japanese voice actor that usually does work for bandai (california and canada) does work for an anime that ends up getting picked up by a company.. say adv. then the US voice actor/actress would have to fly to texas just to voice the character the japanese voice talent did. i guess that would be the biggest problem.

i think i'm a little better at this with the japanese voices.
for example: the person who did Kira in gundam seed and gundam seed destiny is the same person who did Zero and shoma from shining tears X wind who also did the voice for Daimon Masaru in digimon savers as well as chaos in the xenosaga series
then the one who played Athrun in gundam seed and gundam seed destiny did the voice of Kiriya in shing tears x wind

I'm still getting the hang of picking out voices across series in Japaneese. It's easier for me to pick out english voices, but i am getting better at picking out voices in another language. :)

the voices that are easiest to pick out are the ones that sound the same.
or put more clearly, the voice the actor/actress uses for one character is the same for the other.
for example: i knew that the person who played Kira in gundam seed and seed destiny was the same person who played Zero in shining tears x wind, and the person who played daimon masuru in digimon savers was the same person who played shoma in shining tears x wind. but i was surprised to find out that the person(s) who did the voices for the four characters mentioned was the same person.
i have to say that that's some talent to play the voice of two characters in the same series and the fans not being able to hear the similarity, that's something.
but yeah, he used a different tone for the two characters in shining tears x wind.
it's sort of the same with tara strong, now she a very talented voice actress.
she played raven on teen titans as well as (just found this out while trying to come up with more referance) rachel in ninja gaiden sigma, sari in transformers: animations, seth in lost odyssey, jiro and otsuru in afro samurai as well as many others. the thing is that unless you listen closely you probably wouldn't notice.
johnny yong bosch is also a good voice actor, although most of his voices are pretty easy to pick up. everyone can tell that he is ichiro from bleach, niro from devil may cry 4, lelouch in code gease, and others one voice that i was surprised he played was renten in eureka seven.
don't get me wrong i love his acting and he is very talented (especially when it comes to singing -his band is called eyeshine-) but there are times where if you listen to the voices of his other characters you can just.. not quite hear the similar tones in his voice... although knowing the characters he plays helps in picking those small things up, like i didn't know he was grimm in ace combat 5, but after finding out (via imdb.com) i can hear small traces of his voice in grimm, like when grimm has those stressful grunts (i think that's the word) where he's like "they locked on to me!" and stuff like that.
to figure out who plays what character without looking it up takes a keen ear to hear to similar tones in the voices of the characters. it's not really that easy... at least not for me. as i said though there are some easy ones but depending on the voice actor/actress they may change their voice just enough to where you can't really tell it's them.

Goku from saiyuki season1 and Gau bahn from Shadow skill and a couple others that are not to fresh in my mind... but its easier to read the credits and see the names of the voice actors....
