To be or not to be a Marine?!

I have been wanting to go into the military since I was very young... I have been told the Marines is the hardest to make it through.. is this true? I'm looking to join up with the best and like what I do. I hear abunch of stories about Marines hating there jobs because its boring or to tough.. so i want to hear what you have to say if you know something about this topic?

one of my best friends is a marine. he loves his job and he's getting lots of training that will give him a good future. he's in iraq right now though, but normally he is stationed in hawaii. he said its hard but nothing someone cant handle. he even got his pilots liscense in his free time. so its a choice you have to make for yourself, but it will give you lots of opportunites for securing your future.

if you want something, then GO FOR IT!!! ^_^lol.. coz if you really want it then whether it's boring (though i don't think life in the military will ever be boring ^_^) or tough and difficult, then you will surely find ways to overcome it... so if you really want to join the military, then why not? it's a very noble profession, or would i rather call it a calling? lol... anyway, think about it and if you really want to then like i said go for it... ^_^ ~Crescent...take me for who i am, and not for who i've been...

i would suggest you go to college 1st because then when you join you can enlist as an officer cadet. i know thats true of the army so you should see if the marines do something like that.

yes it is true you do become an officer if you go to college and meet the cridentitals needed... but you could become any kind of officer example if they need a supply officer thats what you will be.. i want to get into Recon and thats kinda hard to do if you have a job like supply officer or something along those lines †Lead†

I dont really want to join the marines, or with that the army or navy or anything else like that at all. I am a coward. Well, I dont know that for sure but I know I am (If you know what I mean.) But anyway, I wish my friend the best of luck when he goes off. And yes, in the Marines, they work you the hardest. But I guess you also get the thoughest? mybrother went in the core last year and now is on the battle feild he says its fun but is extermly difficalt his job is to look for road side boomshes already been to japan for traningthe bad thing is that any mail you get or send takes about three months

that its good if u choose 2 join but u have 2 be strong physically and mentally cuz theyll try to get u down 24/7 be prepared 2 leave everything u've learned in ur yrs of life cuz when u get there it will mean nothing u r told wut 2 do n u better listen !always! life is gonna be tough as a marine hope ur up 4 ze challenge ze job is very rewarding u will grow 2 learn 2 trust the dude 2 ur left and 2 da right with ur life....X_xyunikox_X
