Anyone new into collecting Manga?

Hello there. I am new to collecting Manga and am wondering if anyone else is as well. My brother gave me two Gundam Seed Mangas for Christmas and I bought the third volume a few months ago. After reading them I am now into Manga more and want to collect. Anyone else new to Manga?

You see, I like getting anime that was an anime before it was a manga, but I like getting the manga that was made before an anime. (Thats how I roll I guess LOL) I dont have too much anime, and I began collecting Naruto anime in which I am having second thoughs about (I want to collect the manga instead now LOL) but here is my manga collection thus far: Bleach Volumes 1-27Sword of the Dark Ones Volume 1-3 (Complete)D. Gray Man Volumes 1-10Death Note Volumes 1-12 (Complete)Dragon Drive Volumes 1-7Rosario + Vampire Volumes 1-8.Hack XXXX Volumes 1 & 2 (Complete).Hack G.U. + Volumes 1-4Berserk Volumes 1-11 So yeah, thats my collection so far... i've been collecting manga for awhile. i havedragon ball 1-4rurouni kenshin complete 1-28 plus the light novel voyage to the moon worldbleach 1-7trigun complete (in 2 volumes)trigun maximum 1-3hellsing 1-9 and cowboy bebop 1

Some time last year I got my first three Hellsing manga, and since then I've been hooked on manga and anime.I own:Hellsing 1-9Vampire Knight 1-6Death Note 1-12 (finished)Trinity Blood 1-5and I've borrowed a bunch more from the library e.g s.CRY.ed 1-5 (finished), Crimson Hero 1-5, Hikaru no go 1-2, and Secret Chaser vol 1.In a few months I would really love to buy the first twenty one manga volumes of Bleach on amazon (a box set) but I guess I'll see whether or not that happens...I started with anime, myself but I'd say they're about even.Love... is just a different kind of pain.

New to Manga

I don't own a single book. I have looked around in the book store but was overwhelmed. Someone point me in the right direction. I am open to anything but would prefer something adult themed, dark, twisted, violient, distrubing, anything like that. TIA

let me think...i have a new one that looks promising let me read it first. For violent you could try rurouni kenshin or d. gray-man. Death note and trinity blood are good. I would suggest reading a couple of chapters of anything that you see online before buying.. go to onemanga.com it sucks when you buy a book you don't like."Long is the way, and hard that out of hell leads to light."

Death note looks right up my alley. I just pick up Battle Royale 1 (my first piece of manga ever) and also bought the novel. Which one should I read first the novel or manga?

i stared like 3 year's ago and have not stop untill now for a short time now but here are the one's that i like 1,vampire knight2,rosario vampire3,ninja girls4,battle vixens5,gundam wing6,the all new tenchi muyo7,nora the last chronicle of devildom8,samurai 79,bobobo-bo10,full metal panic11,try gun12,rurouni kenshinthey are some of the best out there and there story's are well put together and what not.
