y does all good anime and manga end with flipping cliff hangers a good example TOKKO! i watced every episode and it was freaking amazing but no it ended with a great big open cliff hanger i mean what the hell and now i hear manga entertainment isnt making any more come on dont leave people like me hanging i see he beat an evil guy and absorbed the powers of another simbiot so what big woop then she wakes up at the end and boom nothing absolutely nothing i mean come on make her wake up and meracuasly regain her powers and pown everything like the main character i guess what this is boling down to is my intolerance of good anime that has cliff hangers post back if you either agree or dissagree with what i'm saying

not necessarily, for example claymore and tokko are still works in progress and both anime were completed before the manga finished. the original fullmetal alchemist and hellsing were started with just a few volumes and the series writers took the show in a whole new direction. there are also filler episodes like in bleach the bount and cpt. amagai arcs were made to give the mangaka more time to come up with new source material. anime is usually based on manga but the manga is not always completed at the time of the airing of the show.

because some manga are ongoing series and when the series catches up the author needs to write more. this can lead the animation staff to create filler arcs or stop an anime in its tracks. Anime are usually 13, 26, or around 52 episodes and that reflects how many weeks they are on in Japan. Tokko, Black Blood Brothers are all 13 episodes. Trinity Blood is 26, but the ending is sort of unresolved due to the author's death. Anime also is based on "mono no aware" so many endings are unresolved
