the prophecy of the dead sea scrolls is that the angels need to be destroyed in order for mankind to evolve. the figure on the cross is one of the angels, lilith i think (adam is fused with gendo if you saw the movie). rei is a clone for the dummy plug system and is a angel. kawrou wanted to die i guess because he liked shinji or something if you see the death and rebirth movie i think they explain it well when they get to his clips. lilith is like eve so lilium is her children or us.theres another forum on meaning so you can check that out.

im a lil disappointed i dont have the whole set of evangelion :( i was told by the lady at the store where i bought the anime that it included the entire collection. However she was wrong, damm b****h ... im sure it was an acident though she probably thought it was the whole set aw well.
so i got the series 1 - 26 and the movie; death and rebirth of evangelion but i dont have movie end of evangelion
