Full Metal Panic!

Can anyone tell me the difference between Full Metal Panic! and Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu? Is there are major difference? Thx for your help!

Fumoffu? is more of a comical version with Sousuke and Kaname in basic school life with hardly any mechs. In the first season, a lot more fighting and violence and not much concentration on the school interactions. This is just my opinion and I hope that helps.
