Yes it is. There's a reason for it, too. Everyday life is mundane, humdrum. When there is conflict, or a desperate situation, or a wandering swordsman, or something, you have the opportunity for either someone or a group of someone's to rise up and inspire, protect and generally just kick ass.

If you saw a fight on the street, you might think it's unnecessary violence, but if you talked to the guys fighting, one guy may be fighting to protect his girlfriend, and the other to protect his life after disrespecting said girlfriend. In each case it's not unnecessary violence, or even considered violence. It's a definitive resolution to the problem.

I am the 3rd of 4 kids. I had to know some of this stuff to survive. That, and I am fairly intelligent (or at least would like to think so) and have a bit of a mischevious streak in me, so pranks come almost second nature.

I like a lot of gun action and maybe a few fight scenes but none of that gory blood shit some blood is cool but some animes do over kill like elfin laid(or whatever it's called). I like to sit and enjoy my anime watching time not barf up what i ate last nite.
