Has anyone ever read a book or manga that has inspired you to make one yourself or do something you rather wouldn't have done? For me it would have to be the american made manga Megatokyo, the book inspired me not only to make my own mangas and books, but also made me hopeful that there is someone out there for me that understands who I am and will well, more or less love me. I know sounds a little too shojo, but still it made me hopeful.
i can't remember the name of the book but it inspired my to be
way more like myself and to not care about wat people think and to be careful. um the book was about a boy who turns out to be a girl and his friends find out and they try to be his(her) boyfriend and it's about them trying the whole series to date her =)

Yeah, I can think of a few...
Akira more than many other books made me want to draw comics all the time. So did the Evangelion, Trigun, and Blade of the Immortal manga.
