Hi can anyone recommend a good intro into Japanese manga, Anime for a 6 year old girl, I have a number of movies and series myself but they are all much to violent to show her. I think it would be a good alternative to the barbie and bratz she usually watches. She has seen Spirited Away and loved it (English Version).

Howls moving castle looks good there is even a movie with Christian bale voicing one of the parts and kikis delivery service looks good just had a peek on you tube looks like a witch girl on a broom, my daughter will love that. Many thanks.

You should watch Sailor Moon Episodes. It's very interesting anime series. All Its Episodes are absolutely great. Its about four girls who use to live on the moon while it was a kingdom. No one can stop watching this brilliant show.

any of the hayao miyazaki films are good for children. i've seen howl's moving castle, my neighbor totoro, spirited away, and i have ponyo on my dvr.

inuyasha is good series, i think it is age appropriate and adults can watch it too. great anime based on the manga by rumiko takahashi. might also want to try the 4 movies.
