kenshin was not created from a real character,jubai was.jubei was one of the greatest swordsmen in japan.just like yoshimitsu....the only difference between them were that yoshimitsu was a bloodthirsty half oni,don't forget power hungery,swordsman,jubei was not.also theres a myth that jubei lost his eye to yoshimitsu....but i don't know the facts on that.all in all i would say that jubei would win.p.s.i was not including battosai on that.i ment just kenshin to think is to know....but to know is all ,at least that is what some might say...

kenshin himura was loosely based off of kawanmi gensai one of the four hitokiri of the meiji revolution. as was udo jinei, izo okada (although the final concept was nothing like the real guy). watsuki used these historical figures as inspiration whereas the creators of ninja scroll according to u used a actual historical figure as the protaganist of the story. the reason i didn't think kenshin would win is that he isn't bloodthristy and battousai is his more powerful half.if he could use the final move of the hiten style then he might have a chance. Jubei beat the 8 devils of kimon in the movie kenshin has taken on many strong opponets and won. I think it would be a draw. Lone wolf and cub vs the samurai excutioner or the samurai from sword for truth shuronosuki sakaki.
