Could someone help me name this movie?

A few monthes ago, I heard from a friend of mine, that there was a movie that was made documenting the events of a past war in the middle east (Not the Iraqi war, it could have been Operation Dessert storm, but IDK), but it wasn't with actual actors, but instead it was an anime. It wasn't a branch from a series either, it was just a movie documenting the war. I have no idea what the name of this movie is, but I was wondering if anyone had heard of something similar to what I'm talking about?

there is an anime series
there is an anime series called Apocalypse Meow based off of the manga Cat Shit One. It has anthropomorphic animals acting as soldiers and it takes place during Desert Storm (the rabbits are the United States military. usagi means rabbit in Japanese and it is used as a play on words for U.S.A. G.I.) I hope this helps, might not be the series you're looking for.
