recommending this to someone that _might_ be new to anime. All I kept thinking the first time I seen this was - why are all the guys so pretty, why is there only one female in the episodes, why are they so closed too each other then I got it ohhhhhhhhh… ~Did you know that Your Dreams are Just Lost Pieces of Reality.~

I would try Full Metal Panic! its an action/comedy MoonPhase is a drama/action/comedy Trigun is good for action, kinda funny too, Vampire Knight is awesome, drama/romance/a little comedy there are probably more but there are a few, hope it helps!Love... is just a different kind of pain.

angelbeats!, Clannad, Blood+ (NOT THE LAST VAMPIRE!!!), Elfen lied for sure, my favorite, lucky star, the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya, and dokuro chan the beat to death angel. lol

some of those are pervy in a way. (haruhi and dokuro chan) but haruhi has romance and action, blood+ is action romance and comedy at times, lucky star is total comedy, angelbeats! is somewat romance and action and comedy. just a heads up. but elfen lied, although you see girls naked a lot, it makes sense. its the most beautiful anime ive ever seen. its a sad action packed romance and comedy. if you dont want to watch it because of simple nudity, its your loss.

Some you can try out are Darker than Black, Nabari No Ou, Bakuman, and Soul Eater.
Darker Than Black- A series about beings that look like normal people but with different abilities called contracters. The main character's name is Hei, other than that you can watch and see if you like it (no use telling you everything bout it). series has about 26+ episodes rumoured to possibly be coming out with a season 2
Nabari- ninja's and well a ninja that is just like whatever short series about only 26 episodes
Bakuman- an anime about teens making manga with some romance on the side and some manga rivals appearing left and right from the maker of Deathnote.
Soul Eater- making a weapon for Death can be hard when you need 99 souls and 1 witch's soul, though when it comes to Maka and Soul they have more to worry about than just getting Soul to be Death's new weapon.
