i'm doing a thing in my class about illegal downloading on the enternet/freinds. my class mates have said all different thing about it and i would like to know what you think of it? one of my friends said " why make the programe to download music/other and put it on the internet, the program makes you sign a contract/agrremant, so why make it illegal."of couse the teacher couldn't answer now i wont to know what other people think of illegal Downloading

There are always gonna be people illgaly downloading stuff, no matter what action is taken to stop it. In my opion though is that most of the victims (popular bands for example) make enough money as is so it's not as big a deal when its them. But yes there are others who are in need of the money. But the really, the people who are downloading aren't the true fans. The true fans would go out and buy that cd or dvd and show their actual support.

Just cause fans download their songs, doesn't mean they aren't real fans. I'm saying this because I download and buy albums from bands. If I like a song, I'll download it. If they continue to come out with hot stuff, then I'll consider buying their album.

even artist like bittorent and limewire because they say it gets them new fans,who if they had to pay would never try to listen to new artist.

I agree that downloading will never go away. The vast majority of people who download stuff are looking for something new. Maybe a friend told them about some band, download a song or two to check them out before spending some of their hard earned cash so they don't waste their money, I see no problem with it. Some of the stuff I have downloaded is stuff that is really hard to find, or prohibitively expensive to purchase. I have one band from the 70's that I love, but their cd's are almost $50 each because they are so hard to find. People fear the strange and unusual. I AM the strange and unusual.

i wont lie, i download a LOT lol, but its usually because iTunes/rhapsody/etc. doesnt have em, like Maximum the Hormone, iTunes doesnt have em so what other way would i get it? lol if i have a bsnd i like i will almost always spend at least $10 or so on iTunes if its there.
