i found anime on adult swim.  Started watching futurama and family guy then left it on for inuyasha and fullmetal alchemist and cowboy bebop and.....it snow balled out of control from there. "Those who live in darkness wander aimlessly."

my first animes go back a long long time ago, before i even knew what anime was as well. it was after i looked up some of the children shows i used to watch when i was... between 4 and 9 years old.  i think i saw my first anime in 1991 (around there). in english it was called "The Littl' Bits", in japan (it came out in 1980 there) it was called "Mori no Yogi na Shojintachi: Berufi to Rirubitto" translated: "Cheerful Dwarves of the Forest: Belfy and Lillabit" (the japanese name info is from retrojunk.com) but yeah that was my first, not sure if there was or could be a first before that, since i was about 5 years old at that time..  

the first one i seen thats an anime would be the thunder cats. never knew that was anime untill now

i dont remembr exactly but ithink it wuz eithr dbz or thunder catz

i would say sailor moon. but back then i had now clue what it was. i just watched it.

started with Inuyasha and went from there 

I started out watching pokemon, digimon, and yu-gi-oh!

hmm....its between Dbz and pokemon.........not such which was first.

You guys are really young...i have spent an eternity of watching toons andpokemon and those guys cannot be classed as anime... the arecartoons.... The path to conquest leaves nothing else to be desired!!!!

i don't know if u would classify it as an anime but speed racer was a japanese cartoon i always watched when i was younger but i didn't find that until a couple of weeks ago lol. But after that DBZ was the second i think

By the way does any1 remeber that show ronin warriors it came on a long time ago i remember watchin it. and it was a good show

Mine probably started with Dragonball and DBZ along with pokemon on toonami waaaaay abck when then i finally noticed adult swim. I started watchin Futurama, Cowboy bebop, trigun, case Closed, and Lupin on there. it only grew from there. "Don't doubt the darkness, it can be your enemy as well as your friend."

Well I guess the first real anime I ever watched was Inuyasha on Adult Swim.  But I used to watch Pokemon and Dragon Ball with my kids...   Dewa Mata,Niji-Hana

I'm giving away a my age with this, But Starblazers was my first anime. I saw the first two seasons but never got to see the third. My next brush with anime was the old sci-fi anime marathon (about 10 years ago) with the Galaxy Express 999 movies and I think Akira, Kashan robot fighter was on there as well. I have been hooked on almost every series on adult swim since it started Edit: My very first anime was the old Battle of the Planets (G-Force, bird costumed hero's)

StarBlazers and Robotech were my first ones, along with the one where they dressed up in helmets and capes that looked like birds, damn, I forgot the name of it as I started to write this.  People fear the strange and unusual. I AM the strange and unusual.
