Anime Club

So, I want to start a anime club here in Oklahoma City but don't have any money to do so and was wondering what events could I actually set up to get it going that doesn't cost anything that would get people interested in joining all I can think of myself would be like cos-play and TCCG's. But if anyone has an suggestions or wants to join please let me know, thanks.

i'm not sure how u set up a club, you could do it through a college because at the community college i went to there was an anime club. the only reason i couldn't go to it was it met during the same time as my german class. so u could make inquiries to the student government to find out how to set up a club.

Just anime in general or anything in between. Like games you play or have played, or your hobbies, or maybe what your plans are the weekend, really just pretty much whatever in leaniant. Just like nobody can be a jerk and like no haters, except for the good kind which is the hater-haters. You know people who hate stupid, ignorant, or just down right rude pricks. Because I'm afirm beleiver in well, being able to beleivewhat you want. This will be a group of not just acquaintances but a group of friends. ANIME FAN CLUBS

Yeah I recall back during the 80's & 90's before the Internet was like it is today that fan clubs like
ANIME HASSHIN ,
EARTH DEFENCE FORCE ,
ANIME KAISER ,
ANIME Z , and so on ,
were the most popular. But go to Angelfire and you can start a free website for your club there among other places. My club started to become popular around the world back in the late 1980's when we starteddoing some non profit voice acting translations for conventions as far away as England after Pinesalad Productions started to get popular with their DIRTY PAIR fan dubs with BD Banzai. Them plus also Sherbert Productions. But when Kaiser did their fan dubs that wasn't a local club thing. They had fans donate their voices from around the world, back in the days when audiotapes were still the way and CD recorders I don't think had yet been invented. Imagine about a dozen anime fans from like a dozen cities / states / countries uniting their vollenteer work to launch their own civil rights movement for defending Asians etc back during the old days before we had all the new professional Translating companies that we have today. Back in those days all they really had was like Harmony Gold.

gaia was intially created for anime but branched into other subjects. u can create an avatar, a house, car, and have pets so it is like maple story. but then there are forums: u can roleplay, write fanfics, submit artwork, talk about books, music, t.v. of any kind. i prefer manga's forums but i like all the personalized stuff from gaia. i'd check it out before u make an account.

and once your up and running u could maybe get a proffesional anime drawer to come in and do a class which the members would pay to do thus covering costs and meaning it doesnt cost u anything other than getting the pro to actually turn up i mean <Choose your path Wisely as you only walk it once>
