basically it blend elements of christian and hindu or buddhism. it starts at the end of the last age were the man known as the dragon is met by the dark one. the dragon imprisons the dark one but the male half of the one power is tainted. the power is kind of like the force and it can be drawn from the male and female sides. So basically the story is about the next age were the key players are reincarnated and the dark one is trying to break free and his minions are running loose. the one to defeat him is the dragon reborn but the female witches hunt down any male force users because they'll go insane and kill everyone since their power has become tainted. it is a good series, each book is like 700-900 pages and many elements are dribbled throughout the series that may seem unimportant but resurface later.  I will devour their hearts and crap out their souls. They will all taste oblivion....which tastes just like red bull...which is disgusting. -O'malley (RvB)
