basically the point of the story is vash the stampede caused the destruction of the city of july...yet nobody died. he draws a path of destruction wherever he goes. dillenger meryl and stungun millie are insurance agents who follow the humanoid typhoon in order to limit the mayhem. however millions knives and his gang known as the gung ho guns are after vash. millions knives and vash are artifically created lifeforms known as plants and they achieved sentience. knives however hates humanity and wants to twist his brother to his own ends and so he framed vash and triggered his brothers angel arm which caused the destruction of july. vash vows to never kill again, which is a dilema when he faces legato blue who has strange powers due to the severed angel arm he got from vash. in the final episode vash and knives have a showdown and i think he kills knives or knocks him unconscious because he carries his brother off on his back. i like this anime but the manga wasn't finished while it was airing. i'm currently collecting it, there are some character who either didn't appear in the show like razlo or have expanded roles like the beast.  "When the heavens do not bring forth justice, man must bring it upon himself to do so.
