I saw the movie on DVD and it was awesome!! The 2008 Joker is deffinetly better than the 1989 Joker that Tim Burtan did.

it would have been funny if in the scene were the police laid out the knifes on the table, if there had also been something stupid like a rubber chicken. mostly they were going for the joker as the homicidal maniac, it would've been funny to have some more elements of the prankster. The guy who played the Joker did an extermly good job (he was a very good actor it's to bad he died right after the movie was completed), but the movies it self was not as good as I was expecting.

I thought it was amazing! All the actors did a great job, but Heath did do an amazing job as the Joker! They made the movie fairly realistic and I really really enjoyed it. =D

but really the highlight of the movie was definitely the Joker (crazy and kind of excting :P), I mean really hands down the best character I've seen in the entire franchise!!!

Joker comparison

You really can't compare Nolan's joker to Burton's joker due to the fact that they're two completely different styles. It's like comparing Jack Nicholson's joker to Caesar Romero's joker. Or Danny DeVito as the Peguin in "Batman Returns" to Burgess Meredith as the Penguin in the 1960's TV series. Completely different styles. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely admire both Jokers, but comparing the two is kind of dumb.
