I think my favourite character would be Akira. Anyone agree?

Akira form the movie Akira? cause he's only in it for like 2 minutes. Unless you're thinking of Tetsuo, the kid who gets Akira's power and then goes nuts. I did like him. Esecially when the tank shot at him and he stopped the shell, then made it go boom!

's ok. it's easy to miss if you don't know to look for it. I think I've seen the movie almost 100 times.

Dude i wish i were you.A man that has a wife that loves anime too,and she let's you get stuff like that.i can't even find a girlfriend like that...and when i do try to get anime she takes my money and spend's it on some crappy shampoo that will last about a week(tops)...anime last forever in my openion.you are a very lucky man Vash. It's one of my default movies. If I can't figure out what to watch, Akira goes in. Chuck Norris doesn't go hunting, because the word hunting implies the possibility of failure. Chuck Norris goes killing.

It's a classic now. It came out in 1988, so it's 20 years old, but still a great movie.

I heard about Akira while I was attending a summer school in England think 1992... that's the first japanese anime I know which is really poplar in the west

it was the first anime movie that made a big buzz. Robotech was huge in the early 80's, I used to watch it religiously.

Yes, GITS was another one of the big anime movies. It was also about this time that Hiyo Miyazaki's movies were really starting to gain appreciation in the US. Chuck Norris doesn't go hunting, because the word hunting implies the possibility of failure. Chuck Norris goes killing.

 I have Akira from the Manga collection, and an 'Ultimate collection' dvd set with two dvd's. So i have 3 of them. If your into blood, guts and gore i also recomend watching Akira. I didn't really find the story line that interesting, I thought it was a bit s**t. But i did like the whole death, destruction and posible world devestation.I also recomend Tokyo Revelation, but again, i thought the story line was lagging a bit. Dark myth is kinda inbetween Akira and TR, and Red hawk weapon of death took too long to get into the story line. I've seen and own a few of the others from this collection, but i see and read things indifferent ways to most, even those of supernatural and dark origin.  The night is undyingThe stars ablazeWhat will become of youWhen they are all but dust

i have too many favorite characters. i'd have to put it all into catagory, then sub catagory and so on. i'll make a small list later, it's late right now and i don't feel up to right now.

I like Sesshomaru and Inuyasha... sorry I couldn't choose between the two...they always have some really good battles and they're half-brothers which makes it even more interesting.Inuyasha was the first anime I ever watched too...  Dewa Mata,Niji-Hana
